Quantity Surveyors aim to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality. Quantity Surveyors in the UK are either Professional Quantity Surveyors (PQS) or Contractor’s Quantity Surveyors (QS). The PQS works for the client and ensures he pays as little money as possible for as much work as possible and the QS obviously does the reverse for the GC.
